Using Linux as a VOB server

If you use Linux as a VOB server, you may receive intermittent error messages from DevOps Code ClearCase® because of NFS caching issues in the Linux operating system. In most cases, when you perform the same DevOps Code ClearCase® operation again, it succeeds.

The configurations listed below are less likely to experience these problems:
  • Remote Linux VOB server and a local Windows view server and client using the CCFS protocol, where remote refers to a separate host and local refers to the same host.
  • Remote UNIX system VOB server and a local Linux view server and client.
