Results
To automatically modify a Rational® ClearQuest® record associated with a UCM activity, your Rational® ClearQuest® policies must be configured to automatically transition Rational® ClearQuest® records based on ClearCase® actions. For example, if you check out a file in a UCM project that is configured to work with Rational® ClearQuest® and you select an existing ClearCase® UCM activity to associate with the checkout, Rational® ClearQuest® will automatically transition the record as appropriate if the transition does not require further information. If more information from you is required, the ClearQuest® record opens and the fields requiring information are highlighted.
The following DevOps Code ClearCase® UCM actions can automatically transition ClearQuest® records:
- Add to source control
- Check in
- Check out
- Rename, move, or delete an element under ClearCase® source control
- Deliver
- Finish activity
- Using the ClearCase Merge Manager, which implicitly checks out and checks in files as part of merging
