Domain requirements for DevOps Code ClearCase® hosts and user accounts on Windows

On Windows systems, ensure that DevOps Code ClearCase® hosts and user accounts meet Windows domain requirements.

DevOps Code ClearCase® is a distributed client/server application; many operations initiated on client hosts are completed by server processes elsewhere in the network. To ensure successful network communication between ClearCase® client and servers, ClearCase® hosts and user accounts must meet these domain requirements:

ClearCase hosts: All DevOps Code ClearCase® hosts that run Windows™ must belong to a Windows™ domain or an Active Directory domain, except when running a single-host evaluation copy of DevOps Code ClearCase®.
ClearCase user accounts: To use DevOps Code ClearCase® from a supported Windows™ host, you must log on to a domain account. You cannot use DevOps Code ClearCase® from a local, per-system user account.
