Domain requirements for DevOps Code ClearCase hosts and user accounts on Windows
On Windows systems, ensure that DevOps Code ClearCase® hosts and user accounts meet Windows domain requirements.
DevOps Code ClearCase is a distributed client/server application; many operations initiated on client hosts are completed by server processes elsewhere in the network. To ensure successful network communication between ClearCase client and servers, ClearCase hosts and user accounts must meet these domain requirements:
- ClearCase hosts
- All DevOps Code ClearCase hosts that run Windows™ must belong to a Windows domain or an Active Directory domain, except when running a single-host evaluation copy of DevOps Code ClearCase.
- ClearCase user accounts
- To use DevOps Code ClearCase from a supported Windows host, you must log on to a domain account. You cannot use DevOps Code ClearCase from a local, per-system user account.
