Setting up stand-alone Elasticsearch
Deploy Elasticsearch as a stand-alone server for use with HCL Connections™, instead of deploying it as part of the Component Pack for Connections.
If you do not want to use the Orient Me or Customizer components, you can avoid the need to deploy Kubernetes and Docker by installing a stand-alone Elasticsearch server to work with Connections.
Tip: For an overview on installing a stand-alone Elasticsearch cluster, see the
technote, Deploy an Elasticsearch cluster with 3 nodes and secured with SearchGuard.
The technote is intended as an example and does not replace the instructions in this
documentation.
