    Use IBM Installation Manager to run a silent install of an HCL product. When you run a silent install, the Installation Manager interface is not available. Installation Manager uses a response file that contains commands required to install the product package.

Installation scenario walkthroughs

These instructions walk you through four key scenarios for installing VersionVaultCompass.

The instructions consist of a set of steps and supplemental background material. The following table lists the installation scenarios along with the components that each scenario requires.

Note: If you are installing web-based components for your product, you must have a separate version of IBM® WebSphere® Application Server and IBM® HTTP Server installed before beginning your product installation. Version 7 or later is required. For more information on supported configurations, see Prepare the WebSphere Application Server environment for HCL VersionVault web servers.
