Assigning default actions for states

You can define default actions for states, which ensures that there is always a way to move from a source state to a target state.

1. In the HCL Compass Schema Repository Explorer view, expand the Record Types folder in your schema and then expand the record type that you have enabled with the package.
2. Double-click the state transition matrix for that record type.
3. In the first column of the state transition matrix, right-click a state and click Properties.
4. On the Default Action tab of the Properties window, select a default action for the state.
   The Default Action tab lists the actions that you created for your state transitions in the state transition matrix.
