Mixed character-set deployments

HCL Compass supports only one character set for a database set. However, HCL Compass does allow connections to the database set even if the local code page of the client is different from theHCL Compass data code page of the database set. This support is called a mixed-character-set deployment.

In mixed-character-set deployments, all HCL Compass applications can read and modify data according to the characters of the data code page.
