Creating a connection

You can create a connection when you are creating a schema repository or at a later time.

About this task

The following procedure describes how to create a connection after you have created a schema repository.

1. Start the Maintenance Tool. Then click Connection > New.
2. In the Existing Connections window, enter a name for the connection in the highlighted item.
3. In the Schema Repository Properties window, select the vendor of the physical database that you are using for the schema repository and enter the required properties. The required properties are different for each vendor.
4. Click Finish.
