Restoring a deleted user database
When you restore a deleted user database, you restore the link between the user database and the schema repository.
Before you begin
The user database can be restored by re-creating the link
between it and the schema repository provided all of the following
conditions are true:
- The user database has not been physically deleted.
- The schema version associated with the database has not been deleted.
- You have not upgraded to a newer version of HCL Compass.
Procedure
- Start the Designer.
- In the HCL Compass Schema Repository Explorer view, click on the schema repository where you want to restore the user database.
- Click HCL Compass Database Admin view opens. . The
- In the HCL Compass Database
Admin view, click the Show deleted databases button.
User databases that you have deleted now appear in the HCL Compass Database Admin view, marked by a red icon.
- Right-click the database that you want to restore and click Undelete.
If the restore operation is successful, the database now appears in the HCL Compass Database Admin View without the red icon.
