Step 1: Set the authentication algorithm to CQ_ONLY

About this task

The installutil setauthenticationalgorithm subcommand sets a preferred sequence for authenticating users in a HCL Compass database set.

Procedure

Before you run subcommands to change settings, set the authentication algorithm to CQ_ONLY so that HCL Compass does not attempt LDAP authentication.
Doing so prevents LDAP-authenticated users from logging in while you run subcommands.

Example

The following example sets the authentication algorithm to CQ_ONLY for the database set named 7.0.0. The HCL Compass login name for the administrator is admin, and the administrator's password is secret. The administrator must have Super User privileges.

installutil setauthenticationalgorithm dbset_name cq_user cq_password CQ_ONLY
