Upgrading HCL Compass

Review the upgrade information and complete optional and required tasks for upgrading HCL Compass.

Important: If you have not already done so, review the information in Planning your upgrade before starting an HCL Compass installation.

To make products available to non-root users, set the umask variable to 0022, before you install Compass on a Linux or UNIX™ system.	Client Server	To set the umask variable: Log in as root user. Start a terminal session. Type umask 0022.

Use the HCL Packaging Utility if you want to install multiple HCL products in the same repository.
