Modifying your search paths

Access to HCL Compass programs depends on specific environment variable settings. The most reliable way to establish these settings is to edit your shell startup script.

You may add cquesthomedir/bin to your PATH environment variable to avoid typing the full path when running HCL Compass commands from your shell.

C shell users should avoid placing HCL Compass settings in the file .login, which is executed only by login shells.
