Configuration Manager - Commerce - WebSphere
Use the WebSphere panel of the Configuration Manager to configure the properties of the
WebSphere Commerce Server.
Complete the fields as follows:
- WebSphere Commerce profile name
- The name of the WebSphere Commerce profile that contains the WebSphere Commerce instance information. The WebSphere Application Server profile defines the runtime environment and includes all of the files that the server processes in the runtime environment can change. This profile holds the WebSphere Commerce instance that you are creating.
- Cell name
- The WebSphere Commerce cell name of the profile. This field is only displayed when you create an instance in the WebSphere Commerce Instance Creation Wizard.
- Node name
- The node name of the WebSphere Commerce profile. This field is only displayed when you create an instance in the WebSphere Commerce Instance Creation Wizard.
- Starting port
- The starting port for the profile. The instance creation process uses 20 ports from the number that is specified in this field. Ensure that a block of 20 ports is available starting from this port number. This field is only displayed when you create an instance in the WebSphere Commerce Instance Creation Wizard.
- DataSource Name
- Enter the data source name that is used to set up the connection pool for access to the database
with which WebSphere Commerce works. The following value is the default value for this field.Where:

- DBMS_name is the name of the database management system you are using with
WebSphere Commerce.

- instance_name is the name of the WebSphere Commerce instance.
- DBMS_name is the name of the database management system you are using with
WebSphere Commerce.
- JDBC Driver Location
- Enter the location of the JDBC driver file for your database.
The default locations of JDBC driver files are as follows:
- DB2_installdir/java/db2jcc4.jar;DB2_installdir/java/db2jcc_license_cu.jar
- Oracle_installdir/jdbc/lib/ojdbc6.jar
- Help Server Port Number
- This field is only available after a WebSphere Commerce instance is created. Enter the port number for the local IBM Knowledge Center.Note: The default port for the IBM Knowledge Center is 8001. If you start the IBM Knowledge Center with a different port number, you must change the port number here.
- Generate properties file only
- This check box displays in the Instance Creation wizard only.
Select this check box if you do not want to create an instance but you want to populate a properties file. The properties file can be used with the CreateInstance Ant target to create a WebSphere Commerce instance.
