Use the Security panel in the Configuration Manager to configure security
settings.
- Enable Administrative Security
- Select this check box to enable cell level security.

- Primary Admin User
- Enter the security user ID that is used to connect to the WebSphere Application Server administrative process.
- Primary Admin Password
- Enter the security user password that is used to connect to the WebSphere Application Server administrative process.
- Enable Application Security
- Select this check box if you want to enable server level security. You are prompted to enter the
authentication mode, the RunAs user ID, and password.

- Authentication Mode
- Select the WebSphere Application Server user registry
that is used to validate user IDs. The options that are presented are Operating System
User Registry, and LDAP User Registry.
- RunAs User ID
- Enter the user ID that is used
to access EJB objects.
- RunAs User Password
- Enter
the user password that is used to access EJB objects.
