Creating requests for quotes
In this tutorial, you use the Advanced B2B direct starter store and WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to go through the tasks that are involved with using the request for quotes trading mechanism and RFQ notification messaging. Using the Advanced B2B direct starter store and WebSphere Commerce Accelerator you create a pilot version of your online store with the request for quotes (RFQ) trading mechanism and RFQ notification messaging enabled to serve as the basis for your operational store. In a buyer role in the pilot store, you create and send an RFQ. In a seller role in your store, you review and respond to a submitted RFQ. As the buyer organization you evaluate and select a winning RFQ response.

About this task

After you have evaluated the RFQ responses, a winner can be selected. If there are multiple responses, it is possible to select multiple winners. This situation may occur if different units within the seller respond to different products within the RFQ. Sellers can view the results of their responses after you have selected a winner.

To select an RFQ winner, from the advanced B2B starter store:

Procedure

From the advanced B2B starter store home page, click RFQ List The RFQ list page displays.
Click List RFQ Responses on an RFQ. The RFQ Responses page displays. The list contains all the responses received from the seller.
Select the response you want to accept or reject.
Depending on your decision, click Accept or Reject. The In evaluation Response Status is updated to Won or Lost depending on your decision.
