HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) is a small, stand-alone application that allows you to work with your HCL Notes® and HCL Domino® applications. It is supported on Microsoft™ Windows™ and Mac OS systems.

You can install HCL Client Application Access on Microsoft™ Windows™ or Mac OS systems.
Dual client installation scenarios
HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) and HCL Notes release 11.0 or later can co-exist on your system. In this case, you can use either Notes® or HCAA. When you open an application and Notes is not running, the application is opened in HCAA.
Installing on Microsoft Windows™
Follow these steps to install HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) on Microsoft™ Windows™ if the installation isn't done for you.

Installing on Citrix XenApp server
Administrators can follow these steps to install HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) on a Citrix XenApp server.
Upgrading to the current release
You can upgrade to the current release of HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) from a previous HCAA release. If you are an on-premises user with HCAA currently installed, upgrades occur automatically through the Auto Update Service.
Configure HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) when you install it for the first time and you don't already use HCL Notes®. If you install it for the first time and already use Notes, HCAA is configured and you can skip this step.
Configuring on Microsoft™ Windows™
Configure HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) the first time you use it. If you currently use HCL Notes®, HCAA is already configured and you can skip this procedure.

Opening mail
If you're an on-premises user (you use an HCL Domino® server at your company site), you can open your mail in HCL iNotes®.
Opening applications
Open applications from an HCL Notes® link or button in an email message. Or, open them directly from HCL Client Application Access (HCAA).
Opening the Home page
Your HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) Home page gives you access to mail, contacts, notebooks, bookmarks, recent applications, and the Workspace from one page.
Opening the Workspace
The applications that you've used are shown in the Workspace as icons on tabbed pages.
Using bookmarks
When you install HCL Client Application Access and use it for the first time, all the bookmarks stored in your bookmark.nsf file are transferred to the navigator.
