Local Data Directory
The CLI stores a configuration file and a directory tree of cached
server certificates locally. By default, they are located in a .iem
folder
in the user profile directory /usr/{user}
on Linux
systems, or in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BigFix
on Windows systems.
The IBM BigFix CLI
session credentials are stored in that directory as well. This means
that, by default, a single OS user can use only a single IBM BigFix account.
If you want to allow a single OS user to connect using different IBM BigFix accounts,
set the IEM_DATADIR
environment variable to save
the session credentials in different locations.
You can use the IEM_DATADIR
environment variable
to specify a different directory to use for local caching.
If a console is installed on the local Windows machine, any server certificates that was trusted by the console is implicitly trusted by the CLI as well.
