Reconfigure a report

Reconfigure an existing custom report to update its data sets, charts, or filters.

Before you begin

You must start the edit from the All Reports page. You cannot open a report for editing directly from the Report Builder menu.

About this task

Note:
  • You can edit or delete saved reports anytime under Reporting > All Reports.
  • The data sets and visualization options that are available depend on your user permissions and configured data sources.

Procedure

  1. Go to Reporting > All Reports.
  2. Select the name of the report that you want to modify.

The report details page opens. It displays the report content, the time when the report was last updated, and the Reconfigure report button in the upper-right corner.

The sections that are displayed depend on how the report was created. A report that you built with full custom configuration displays the Quick link and Charts sections that you configured, followed by the Content list. A report that you created from a guided template displays only the Content list.

The toolbar next to the Reconfigure report button also provides a refresh icon, a filter icon, and a more options icon that contains the Export and Duplicate report actions. For these actions, see Global filter, Exporting Data, and Duplicate a report.

    Note:
The View by group list is displayed only for reports that were created from a guided template. Use it to limit the report to the selected device groups. See Create a report from a template.
