Enabling email
About this task
To use the email function, you must install and set up an email server. For example, for a forgotten password, to export and email a report, or to request access to certain targets.
To enable the email function, complete the following steps:
Procedure
- Log on to Remote Control server with a valid admin ID and password.
- Click .
- Select trc.properties.
- Edit the following variables
- email.enabled
- Set to true to enable email.
- SMTP.server
- Set to the address of your mail server.
- SMTP.authentication
- Set to true of false, Set to true to authenticate with the SMTP ID and password.
- SMTP.userid
- User ID for the SMTP server.
- SMTP.password
- Password for the SMTP server.
- Click Submit.
Results
The email function is enabled.
