Changing AppScan® Source user passwords
To be able to change an AppScan® Source user password, you must have Manage Users permissions and the change must be made in AppScan® Source for Analysis. If you do not have this permission, have your administrator change your password for you, following the instructions in this topic. If your AppScan® Enterprise Server is configured to use LDAP authentication or Windows™ authentication, this topic does not apply.
About this task
Important: This topic applies only if you have upgraded to AppScan®
Source version 10.0.2 or higher from a 10.0.1 or
earlier version of the product. New installations of AppScan®
Source version 10.0.2 do not have this
functionality; all user administration of new AppScan®
Source installations occurs in AppScan®
Enterprise.
Procedure
- In AppScan® Source for Analysis, select from the main workbench menu.
- The Manage Users dialog box lists existing AppScan®
Source users. To
change the password for one of these users, edit the user information
by completing one of these tasks:
- Double-click the user.
- Right-click the user and choose Edit User.
- Select the user and click the Edit User button.
Note: You cannot change the password of an AppScan® Enterprise Server user from AppScan® Source. - In the Edit User dialog box, enter a new password and then type the password again in the Confirm Password field.
- Click OK to change the password.
