Troubleshooting agent corruption

This topic addresses how to recover the AppScan Enterprise agent if it becomes corrupted due to missing system dependencies.

About this task

Problem: If the Microsoft Visual C++ (VC) Runtime or the .NET 8 desktop runtime was already installed on the server, removing it might corrupt the AppScan Enterprise agent.

Resolution: To fix the issue, you must repair the installation:

Procedure

On the server hosting the Dynamic Analysis Scanner, open the Windows Control Panel and go to Programs and Features.
Select HCL AppScan Enterprise Dynamic Analysis Scanner from the list of installed programs.
Click Repair and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the repair process.
