Adding users in PingFederate to access AppScan Enterprise
You can create a new user account in PingFederate that you can assign to access AppScan Enterprise application using Single Sign-On (SSO) method.
Before you begin
- You must have Administrator privilege to add users in the PingFederate application.
- You must have integrated AppScan Enterprise application with PingFederate as Identity Provider. For more information on PingFederate configuration, see Configuring PingFederate for SAML-SSO in AppScan Enterprise.
About this task
On the AppScan Enterprise side, its users database (LDAP or Active Directory) is automatically updated with an equivalent user account corresponding to the new user account you have created in PingFederate during the first login session of the new user into AppScan Enterprise.
Procedure

Login to the PingFederate account as administrator.
The Applications page is displayed.

Click the IDENTITIES tab.
The Users page is displayed.

Click Add User.
The Add User dialog box is displayed.
- Under PERSONAL section, enter the name details such as the first name, last name and so on.
- Under CONTACT section, enter the user correspondence details such as email address, mobile number, residential address and so on.
- Under the User section, enter the user account details you are creating.
- In the USERNAME box, the username you are providing must be identical to the AppScan Enterprise login ID username.
- Under PREFERENCES section, enter information you want to add as an additional information related to the user account you are creating. For example, Preferred Language, Timezone and so on.

Click Save to finish creating the new user and close the Add
User dialog box.
You can view the new user you have created under users list displayed in the Users page. The toggle switch corresponding to the user name is turned ON by default, which indicates that the specific user account is enabled to access the AppScan Enterprise application in PingFederate.
- Click the hamburger button corresponding to the user name to expand and view the user profile section.

Click the Reset Password button adjacent to the toggle switch.
The Reset Password callout type dialog box is displayed.
- Type a new password for the user account in the password box or click Generate Password to prompt the PingFederate to generate a new password for the user account.
- Click Save to save the new password set for the user account.
