Folder items that are affected by a change in issue status
When you manage an issue, the change in issue status can affect folder items, depending on what type of folder item they are.
Reports
When you change the status of an issue within a report, it affects all instances of the report that use the same issue type. For example, if there are four reports of an accessibility check (such as providing Alt text for an image) or a security check (such as Parameter Value Overflow), then all instances of those reports are affected by the change in the issue status, regardless of which report pack the reports appear in.
You do not need to rerun any jobs to see status changes; refresh the report screen to immediately see your issue management changes.
Report Packs
A change in issue status affects the report packs that contain the reports where you managed the issues. You must rerun the report pack to update any reports that contained those issues; otherwise, the report pack issue summary will be out of synch with the report that contains the managed issues.
Dashboards
Any dashboard that contains an affected report pack will also be affected. You must rerun the dashboard to see results in any report pack that contains the managed issues; otherwise, the dashboard issue summary will be out of synch with the report pack that contains the managed issues.
Graphical dashboards display a count of:
- Issue severity history (high, medium, low, or information) for all report packs or individual report pack
- Issue severity by report pack (high, medium, low, or information)
- Issue management history by report pack (open, in progress, fixed or reopened) for all report packs or by individual report pack. Any increase or decrease in the number of issues is tracked over time (the date of each dashboard generation).
Spreadsheet dashboards display a count of:
- Issue by status by report pack
- Issue by report by report pack
