Troubleshooting issue management
This topic addresses common questions and issues related to issue management in reports.
Why did my issues disappear after I managed them?
If you marked an issue as noise or passed, check the Layout tab in the report to ensure you have marked that status type to show in the results.
Why have some of my issues disappeared?
Check the Last Managed date at the top of the report to see if they have been recently managed. Or check the Show tab of the report to see if you have chosen to only see issues found within a specific number of days. For example, if you are only seeing issues found within the last 14 days, there might be many more issues that also must be addressed.
I managed an issue, but there is a different state on it than the one I assigned. What happened?
If two users are working on the same issue in the same report, the last user to mark their issue wins. For example, Miriam and Omri are working in the same report. If Miriam marks issue A as fixed, but Omri marks issue A as noise right afterwards, then issue A's status will be noise. For more information, see Issue management workflow for multiple users.
I fixed an issue, but it's showing up in the report again. Why?
You are managing issues, not the page they appear on or a group of issues. For example, if you fix five broken links on a page and mark them as fixed, and the next time your site is scanned a new broken link appears on the same page, that page will be listed in the Broken Links report when you group the results by the Page data set. You managed the issues on that page, not the page itself. In another example, if you fix five security issues on a given Test URL and mark them as fixed, and the next time your site is scanned a new security issue appears on the same URL, that URL will appear in the security issues report when you group the results by the Test URL data set. You managed the issues on the URL, not the URL itself.
What happens when I change an issue status?
A change in issue status can affect a report, report pack, or dashboard.
I managed an issue on one line, but five lines changed states. Why?
If the issue is a PageComponent used on multiple pages (lines in a report), those pages will be affected. Note that they all have the same issue ID.
