Testing for malware
Test your application for malware and malicious external links.
About this task
The scan analyzes the content obtained during the Explore phase of a regular content scan. "Malware" (malicious software) is a rapidly growing problem. It is primarily delivered through web applications, either by malicious content that exploits client-side vulnerabilities (such as security holes in the browser, image rendering services, or Microsoft™ ActiveX controls) or by "socially engineering" (tricking) users into downloading software that contains hidden, malicious code.
Procedure
- Go to the Malware page of the content scan job and enable malware testing.
- Configure any required limits, scope, URL exclusions, and additional results.
- Click Save and run the job from the Folder Explorer.
