To install Data Export, complete the following
steps.

Install Data Export

Restart Manage Services
If Unica Discover
Data Export was installed on a pre-existing server, such as the
Portal Server, then the Discover Management Server must be restarted
from within Manage Services to complete the Unica Discover
Data Export installation.

Create Data Export server
To enable communications between the Discover Portal and Unica Discover
Data Export, you must create an instance of the Unica Discover
Data Export Server in the Manage Portal
page.

Configure data files
If you are using the data files option, configure the two SQL scripts in
<Discover_install_directory>\dataextractor\scripts
to define the
database and tables.

Run test extract
Before you begin configuring large extract jobs that involve a high number of
sessions, configure a test extract of no more than three sessions.

Configure permissions
If you modified the ADMIN
group and are deploying this product to an
existing Discover solution, you must update menu permissions manually for that group. For
all other users and groups, you must configure the appropriate permissions.
