Upgrade Network Capture

About this task

Note: The upgrade process for the Unica Discover Network Capture Application is consistent across all versions of Linux™.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Unica Discover Network Capture Application server as root.
  2. Stop Discover services: 
    
./discover stop
  3. Navigate to the /root directory, where the .rpm file is stored: 
    
cd /root
  4. Upgrade the Discover Capture software by using the following command: 
    
rpm -Uvh <discover rpm>
    • Example RPM: discover-dnca-12.1.0-1.RHEL8.i386.rpm
  5. Verify that process completes without errors.
  6. Start Discover services: 
    
./discover start
