Communicating with the AI agent using a chatbot interface
If you enable the Published as Chatbot option in the AI agent definition, a chatbot interface for the AI agent is created at the AI Agents section in the UI. You can engage in conversation with the AI agent to access information and get assistance. This type of data flow is only possible with the AI agents that are configured with either basic agent type or Agentic AI builder.
Before you begin
About this task
An AI agent is a framework that utilizes an AI model (LLM) to interact with a context to obtain a user-defined objective. After you create an AI agent, you can interact with it in a chatbot interface to get the required results.
Procedure
- Log in to the UI using valid user credentials.

Select the AI Agents tab from the home page.
All the AI agents that have the chatbot interface function are displayed.
- Select the AI agent.

Type your query or request in the text box field, and then click the send
icon.
Your conversation with the AI agent is saved and you can always check the history for future reference. The chat history is persisted and rendered in the left-hand panel of the UI.
