Create a new tenant

Create a new tenant instance using the Tenant Manager console. You set the core tenant identifier, resources, and administrative user access during this process.

Before you begin

You must be designated as a service provider administrator and have access to the Tenant Manager console.

Procedure

  1. Access the Tenant Manager console.
  2. In the upper-left corner, click Create tenant.
    The Create tenant form opens.
  3. In the Tenant name field, enter a unique name.

This name is used as the hostname prefix for the tenant environment. The name must be unique across the deployment and cannot exceed a length that would cause the resulting database name to exceed 63 characters. This constraint is typically 28 characters or fewer, depending on the tenantDbPrefix configuration value.

  4. In the Display name field, enter the name to be shown in the UI.
  5. From the Tenant type list, select the required type (e.g., TRIAL, PROD).
The selected type affects the tenant default expiration period. For details, see the related topic on the tenant lifecycle.
  6. In the Account name field, enter the organization name associated with the tenant.
  7. Optional: Complete the Customer name and Customer email fields for contact information.
  8. Optional: Set an Expiration time.
If left blank, the system uses the default expiration based on the selected Tenant type.
  9. In the License quantity field, enter the number of licenses allocated to the tenant.
  10. Specify the resource limits (optional).
The following fields override system defaults:
    • Custom monthly task run limit
    • Custom monthly AI Agent calls limit
    • Custom max throughput (tasks per minute)
    • Daily task run limit
    • Daily AI Agent calls limit
For detailed field descriptions, see Tenant Manager user interface reference.
  11. In the Tenant administrators field, add the OIDC user IDs that will be given administrative privileges within the new tenant environment.
  12. Optional: Add authorized domains in the User domains field.
  13. Optional: Provide Justification, Category, Ticket number, and Reason for auditing purposes.
  14. Click Create tenant.

Results

The new tenant instance is deployed and automatically transitioned to the ACTIVE state.
