HCL UnO agent

The HCL UnO agent is an on premises agent that enhances the overall reliability and efficiency of your scheduling and orchestration environment by effortless transition during agent updates and automatic plug-in updates. You can create a custom environment for your operations and effortlessly manage the agent using scripts.

Auto update of plug-ins: When the agent contains an outdated plug-in version and if the latest version is available in HCL UnO agent, the agent automatically retrieves the updated plug-in from HCL UnO agent without any manual intervention. This feature eliminates the need for restarting the engine following a plug-in version update.

Agent update with zero downtime: The new agent is updated with zero-downtime. When the agent is updated to a new version, two instances of agents are run. The old agent instance manages tasks in progress and the new agent instance receives new tasks from the agent manager. The old agent is stopped by the new agent afterwards. This ensures a smooth and continuous operation during updates.

Tailored customization and management with scripts: By configuring certain parameters you can set up the agent without starting it, ensuring tailored customization of your environment to meet specific requirements. When you run the agent for the first time, three distinct types of scripts are created that you can use afterwards to manage the agent. These scripts contribute to the flexibility and customization options by controlling the functionalities of the agent.
