New Features and Enhancements

The following list contains the new features and the enhancements made to the 12.2.3 release of HCL Discover:

New Features

New Welcome Page: A new Welcome Page is now shown when users log into the portal. It supports favorite tiles for key features and dashboards, saves each user’s selections, and adds Home navigation links in the left menu and logo to return to the page.
CEP exports to Kafka supports customized JSON payloads: CEP exports to Kafka now support customized JSON payloads. Administrators can configure the structure of the exported data for integration workflows.
CEP integrations with Kafka supports Okta authentication: CEP integrations with Kafka now support Okta authentication. Administrators can configure Kafka data delivery to use Okta-secured access.
UI SDK captures the HTTP status code: The UI SDK can now capture the HTTP status code of the current page during page load initialization. This makes it possible to track error responses by page URL.
Collector support for hit-based routing to multiple receivers: Collector support has been added for hit-based routing to multiple receivers. This enables incoming data hits to be directed across more than one receiver destination.
New Web App Usage Dashboard for RUM analysis: A new out-of-the-box Web App Usage Dashboard is now available for RUM analysis. It includes high-level metrics such as session count, session duration, pages per visit, bounce rate, and breakdowns by browser, browser version, operating system, and device type.
New Web App Performance Dashboard for RUM analysis: A new out-of-the-box Web App Performance Dashboard is now available for RUM analysis. It reports core web vital metrics including average CLS, LCP, and INP, along with trend views over time and performance for top pages.
Enabling and Disabling of AI features: AI features can now be enabled or disabled at both the global and user group level. This gives administrators more control over which users can access AI capabilities.

Enhancements

Updates to Event Based Replay: Event Based Replay has been updated in a second phase of improvements. The changes extend the feature based on feedback gathered during the 12.2 beta.
Updates to Event Monitor: Event Monitor has been updated to the newer v2 experience with refreshed styling and technology. The page now includes a simplified event list, event-name search, manual refresh, export to PDF and Excel, and updated pagination options.
Report Builder allows the same event to be added multiple times: Report Builder now allows the same event to be added multiple times in a single report. This supports comparing different calculations such as sum, average, minimum, and maximum, and also adds event selection through free-text entry.
Session search results displays a subset of event icons: Session search results can now display a subset of event icons instead of the full set. This helps users focus on specific business areas, such as marketing or checkout activity, when reviewing sessions.

Updates/Fixes

Spelling update for sendShadoDOMScript: In config, updated the spelling of sendShadoDOMScript to sendShadowDOMScript.
Syncfusion removed: Removed the beta implementation of Syncfusion.
