Installing HCL Discover involves planning and preparing your environment, installing and configuring prerequisite software, obtaining the HCL Discover installation files, and running the HCL Discover installer.

    Planning for HCL Discover before introducing its software into your enterprise information system helps ensure that the system you implement meets your needs.

    Preparing to install HCL Discover involves assessing your current IT resources, determining and cataloging the HCL Discover component-to-server assignments, installing and configuring prerequisite software and preparing the servers and your network environment to accept HCL Discover.

    Installing HCL Discover involves obtaining the installation files for HCL Discover and then running the product installers.

Administering HCL Discover involves configuring and integrating the HCL Discover client framework with your web applications or mobile native applications, installing and administering the databases used by HCL Discover, defining event objects and configuring events, hit attributes, dimensions, and other object attributes used by HCL Discover to monitor mission-critical metrics of your web application's performance.

Integrating MaxAI

Procedure

In HCL Discover, update the Discover Configuration to <InstallPath>\HCL\Unica Discover\Portal\api\appsettings.json.
Ensure that the following condition is met:

localhost:38000/
Note: Used for internal call to Replay server http://localhost:38000/LoadSession, for getting payload for MaxAI
Access <InstallPath>\HCL\Unica Discover\Portal\web\assets\data\appsettings.json, and
- Change "QueryExecute" value to http://<domain-name>/maxai/insight/discover-inference.
  Note: This is external call to MaxAI from Discover UI to get Insights.
Upon installation, access Manage Portal → General Settings → Miscellaneous and set values for the following fields:
- MaxAICID
- MaxAICS
- MaxAIURL
