View path
The path to the root directory of a snapshot view is shown on Linux as a global path.
On Windows systems, the path to the root directory of a snapshot view is shown with a drive whenever possible. If the view is not accessible through a drive, the path is shown as a UNC name.
When you specify a snapshot view, most HCL VersionVault tools require that you provide the path to the root directory of the view rather than only the view tag of the view. Under certain view configurations, the path is the only way to ensure that all components of the view can be found (that is, both the view root directory and the view-storage directory).
