Change needed
This folder in the results display is used for update previews. It lists the file elements for which the version in the view is overwritten with a version from the VOB. The Update Tool overwrites (changes) versions when the version in the view is different from the version the config spec selects from the VOB.
Clicking Change Needed displays the following columns and parenthetical annotations in the right pane of the window:
- Name
- Old version: The version currently in the view. The version
is identified by its version ID.
The annotation (hijacked) indicates that the version last loaded into the view was hijacked.
- New version: The version
selected by the config spec. The version is identified by its version ID.
The annotation (changed) indicates that after the update preview you explicitly updated this file element from the Update View window. The version listed under the New Version column is now the version in the view.
The annotation (not loaded) indicates that the version was not copied into the view because the file in the view is hijacked and the Advanced page of the Start Update window indicates the Update Tool is to leave hijacked files in place.
The annotation (preview) indicates the version has not been copied into the view because the update was run in the preview mode.
