Branch
The Branch command on the menu contains the following commands concerning a branch.

- Description
- Create
- Creates a new branch in the version tree of an element. The branch type browser prompts for the type of branch to create.
- Destroy
- Removes the selected branch. If the branch has any versions or subbranches other than version 0, you are prompted to confirm which branch to remove.
- Change type
- Changes the type of the selected branch. In the Select new branch type window, navigate to and click the new branch type. Then click OK.
- Revise creation comment
- Edits the comment associated with the creation of each selected branch.
- Lock
- Places a lock on each selected element or branch so that certain operations are prohibited.
- Lock (except some users)
- Locks each selected element or branch for all users except those specified. A username browser prompts you to specify the set of users unaffected by the lock.
- Obsolete
- Locks an element or branch and places it in a state so that it will not be listed by certain forms of commands.
- Unlock
- Unlocks each selected element or branch.
- Show lock
- Shows lock information for each selected element or branch.
- Branch type
- Starts a Branch Type Browser to perform operations on branch types, such as creating a new branch type.
