Selective merge from a subbranch

The main branch has versions 4 through 8. The r1_fix branch is off version 4 on main and has Versions 0 through 6. Versions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 are marked excluded. Version 4 is labeled QA_APPROVED and marked included. A merge arrow connects version 4 and a version that is checked out from version 8 in the main branch.
