Trigger Type Browser
Use the Trigger Type Browser to create or modify a trigger type object. As with other HCL VersionVault objects, you must create the object type before you can create an instance.
The browser lists the names and states of trigger type objects in the VOB that is selected in the File Browser. It supports the following menus:
Directory selector
Use the directory selector under the menu icons to list type objects in a different VOB. The directory selector displays the VOB tags of the VOBs mounted on your host. To display type objects in a different VOB, click the arrow next to the directory selector and click a VOB tag.
Type menu
This menu contains the following commands for managing type objects in the VOB that you select.
- Create
- Creates a trigger type object (all-element preoperation, all-element postoperation, element preoperation, or element postoperation) for future use in the current VOB.
- Rename
- Assigns a new name to the selected trigger type object and to all instances of the type object throughout the VOB. If the object is global, all local copies of the type object are assigned the new name.
- Revise creation comment
- Changes the comment string in the event record for the creation of the selected trigger type objects.
- Describe
- Displays the property sheet for the selected trigger type objects.
- Destroy type

- Destroy triggers and type
- Removes all instances of the selected trigger type objects from the VOB and then proceeds to remove the type objects from the VOB.
