This section describes how to install the Design Server using the Windows Installer.

After installation, to start and stop the Design Server, complete the following steps:

    The Unica Link Design Server requires the Link Runtime server to be installed.

  Logs are produced for your use by Design Server, the Runtime REST API, and Kafkalink.

  After you install Unica Link you might want to change the HTTP / HTTPS configuration.

Starting and stopping the Unica Link Design Server

After installation, to start and stop the Design Server, complete the following steps:

In the Command window, change the current folder to C:\HCL\Link_<version-number>\DesignServer.
To start the server run the start.bat command. The server may require several minutes, depending on the performance of your computer.
To stop the Design Server, run the stop.bat command. The server should stop in a few seconds.
