    Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.

      • Accessing the Deliver Message Editor

        You can access the Message Editor from the Campaign menu or from a link on the Mailing tab for a Deliver messaging.

      • The Message Editor toolbar

        The Message Editor provides access to various functions through a context-sensitive toolbar that is displayed across the top of the content or communication page. The appearance of the toolbar varies depending on the task you are performing.

        In the Deliver Message Editor, email documents, landing pages, and texts are referred to as communications. You add and access email, SMS, WhatsApp, landing pages, and text messages on the Communications tab.

      • Hosted landing pages for personalized messaging

        Landing pages in Deliver are personalized web pages and online forms hosted by Unica that you can link to personalized marketing messages that you send with Deliver. You create and maintain landing pages using the same composition and personalization features that you use to create personalized messages. You can also configure hosted landing pages as online forms to solicit and accept responses from message recipients.

      • The Content Library

        The Content Library is a single repository for content and templates that are used in personalized email and landing pages, SMS, and WhatsApp messages. Access the library through the Content Library tab in the Message Editor. The Content Library is organized as a multi-level folder hierarchy.

      • Working with zones in a document

        Personalized email, SMS, WhatsApp, and landing pages include specific areas where you can add images, videos,PDFs, text, and hyperlinks without directly accessing the underlying HTML code. The Message Editor refers to these areas as zones.Each zone is identified by a name that is unique within the document. The name of the zone corresponds to the ID element in the HTML code of the email or landing page template that defines the document layout.

        You can add content elements for hyperlinks, images, PDF, videoand personalization fields, to Deliver documents using zones defined in the document template.

      • Adding content that contains variations

        Content variations become available in a communication when you add a content element that contains variations to a zone, or when you add the content by reference in a snippet or text block. When you use multiple content variations in a communication, you can view and edit the different variations directly in the communication editor.

      • Adding content by reference

        As an alternative to manually dropping content into zones, you can add video, PDFs, images and snippets automatically by adding a reference to them in a communication template.

      • Connections to external content

        You can connect email and landing pages that you create in Deliver to content that is stored outside of your HCL Unica installation. Create the connections in zones with the Content Connector widget or embed the connections in HTML templates or HTML snippets.

      • HTML attributes and the appearance of images and links in communications

        HTML attributes defined in a communication template control how images and links display in personalized email or landing pages. However, you can manually override the template formatting for an individual image or link within the communication.

      • Editing templates and content in the Message Editor

        You can use the text and HTML editors in the Message Editor to modify templates that are uploaded to the Content Library or that are used in email or landing page communications. The Message Editor provides a graphical HTML editor and a text editor that you can use to edit HTML templates. You can open the editors in the Content Library or in a communication that uses the template.

          When you create a folder (if you have create permissions), you must specify the security policy that controls access to its contents. The security policy applies to all subfolders. When you create a subfolder, the system applies the security policy of the top-level folder to the contents of the subfolder. You cannot change the security policy that is applied to subfolders.

        • To add folders in the Content Library

          Depending on your folder permissions, you can create new folders and subfolders in the Content Library. The system warns you if you do not have appropriate access or create permissions.

        • To add folders on the Communications tab

          Depending on your folder permissions, you can create new folders and subfolders on the Communications tab. The system warns you if you do not have appropriate access or create permissions.

        • To view and edit properties

          You can view and edit properties associated with communications, content elements, and files attached to content elements. The properties that you can view depend on the object that you select.

        • About deleting

          You can delete assets, communications, folders, or saved searches. Before you delete communications or content, check for usage and users. Deleting an asset, communication, or folder moves the item to the Recycle Bin.

        When you delete a communication, asset, or folder, the Communication Editor moves the deleted items to the Recycle Bin. You can restore the deleted items if necessary. The Communications Editor maintains a separate Recycle Bin on the Communications tab and on the Content Library tab.

      • Working with search

        You can search the Message Editor to find communications or content elements that contain a particular word or combination of characters. For example, you can find all of the ZIP files that have been uploaded to the Content Library by searching for the characters .zip

      • Creating email and landing page templates

        Email and landing page templates are documents that you create outside of the Deliver Message Editor to define the layout of personalized email, hosted landing pages. The design of the template guides the design of the message. To create personalized email, marketers add content to the template by modifying the template or by using editing tools that are provided in the Message Editor.

      • Images and Videos

        The Deliver Message Editor provide several ways to insert images and videos into personalized messages. You can add images and videos from the Content Library or add them from external sources when you send each message.

      • Creating hyperlinks

        The Deliver Message Editor provides several ways to add links to personalized email messages, and landing pages that are hosted by Unica. Apply link attributes and inline styles to control how the links appear and how the target of the links display. Deliver tracks link clicks and stores the data in the Deliver system tables.

      • Previewing email and landing pages

        Use the Preview feature in the Message Editor to see how a personalized message might appear to message recipients. Preview simulates how personalized parts of the Deliver document used to create the email, landing page, SMS, WhatsApp may change according to the personal characteristics of each recipient.

      • Publishing email and landing pages

        Publishing the communication in the Deliver Message Editor makes the communication and the resources it contains available for use in a personalized message or landing page. Publishing a communication does not transmit the communication to message recipients or landing page visitors. However, to send a message through Deliver, you must first publish the message in the Message Editor.

      • Working with personalization fields

        Personalization fields provide the means to add recipient-specific information from your marketing database to a SMS, email, WhatsApp, push notifications . Personalization fields are also used in rules that control how conditionalized content displays in each personalized message.

      • Creating conditional content

        Creating conditional content allows you to vary the content that you display to your target audience according to characteristics defined in personalization fields. In Unica Deliver, you can define two types of conditional content. Simple conditional content, which uses personalization fields in personalization rules, and nested conditional content, which uses personalization fields in Deliver advanced scripting for email.

        Deliver provides a template-based scripting language for creating self-contained scripts that provide a way to personalize content in ways that you cannot easily duplicate in the Deliver Message Editor.

      • Offers in personalized email

        You can add offers that you define in Unica Campaign to personalized email that you create and send through Unica Deliver. Including offers in your marketing email gives you an opportunity to deliver a timely and targeted call to action to your audience. The system collects the offer responses and makes the data available in the Campaign contact and response history for use in Campaign performance reports.
