Disabling the proxy read-ahead mechanism on the WebSphere proxy server
You can disable the read-ahead mechanism on the IBM® WebSphere® proxy server to resolves a HIGH CPU issue that occurs when terminating Connections with read-ahead enabled.
Procedure
- Log in to the Integrated Services Console.
- Click .
- In the table listing the WebSphere proxy servers, click the link representing the proxy server you want to modify.
- In the Proxy Settings section, expand HTTP Proxy Server Settings.
- Click Proxy settings.
- In the Additional Properties section, click Custom properties.
- Click New to create a custom property.
- Specify the Name of the new property as http.connectionPoolReadAheadEnabled.
- Set the Value of the new property to false.
- Click New to create another custom property.
- Specify the Name of the new property as dynacache.extension.lookup_timeout_property.
- Set the Value of the new property to 20000.
- Click Apply, and then click Save.
