Setting tuning parameters for the WebSphere HTTP proxy server
Refine the tuning parameters for the WebSphere® Application Server HTTP proxy server for better performance.
Procedure
- On the WebSphere HTTP proxy server, log in to the IBM® WebSphere Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.

Set JVM heap sizes on the WebSphere proxy server by completing the following steps:
- Click OK.

Set the WebContainer maximum number of threads value by completing these steps:
- Navigate back to the Configuration page as instructed in step 2.a and 2.b of this procedure.
- In the Additional Properties section, click Thread pools.
- Click WebContainer.
- In the Maximum Size field, enter 100 threads.
- Click OK.

From the navigation tree, click
. Complete the following steps:
- Click the Proxy Cache Store instance you are updating.
- In the Cache size field, enter 2000.
- Repeat the process for each object cache instance you are updating.
- Click OK.
- Save the updates to the master configuration by clicking the Save link in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
