The IBM® Sametime® Video Manager runs
with solidDB®. When you uninstall
the Video Manager, you also uninstall solidDB.
Before you begin
Remove the node from the deployment manager.
About this task
Running the install program on the Sametime server allows you
to see the Uninstall option.
Procedure
- Stop all servers associated with the Sametime Video Manager Server
in the order shown.
- Log in to the Integrated Solutions Console on the deployment
manager and stop the node agent for the server (or servers if you
are working in a cluster).
- Stop the Video Manager Server and the solidDB server as described in Starting and stopping
the Video Manager Server.
- Stop WebSphere® Application
Server.
- Stop the deployment manager.
- Close all browsers and command windows that are accessing
the server you plan to uninstall.
- Working on the server you want to uninstall, run the Installation
Manager.
/opt/IBM/InstallationManagerInstallationDirectory/eclipse/IBMIM
- Choose the components to remove from the server. Click Next.
- Click Uninstall.
The
Uninstall command removes the profile. The Repository Information
section that appears after uninstalling the software will not have
any files listed.
- Uninstall solidDB by
completing these steps:
- Access /opt/solidDB/soliddb-7.0/Uninstall_IBM_solidDB_7.0.
- Enter this command:
Uninstall_IBM_solidDB_7.0
- When the command finishes successfully, delete the /opt/solidDB directory.
Note: If solidDB is
not cleaned up properly, the next installation will fail. This step
is very important.
What to do next
If you plan to reinstall Sametime, you must clean
out the unused directories to reinstall successfully.
