Adding load balancer ports to the virtual host alias for the Sametime Gateway cluster
After creating an IBM® Sametime® Gateway cluster,
add the load balancer ports that you created for the cluster's IBM WebSphere® proxy servers to the sip_proxyreg_host
alias
in the cluster's virtual host
About this task
Earlier, you created a PROXY_SIP_ADDRESS_LB non-secured
port and a PROXY_SIPS_ADDRESS_LB secure port for each proxy server
used by the cluster. Now you will add those ports to the sip_proxyreg_host
virtual
host.
Note: If a port has already been created, you do not need
to add it again.
Procedure
- On the WebSphere proxy server, log in to the Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
- In the navigator, click .
- In the virtual hosts table, click on the host called
sip_proxyreg_host
. - On the Configuration page, look under "Additional Properties" and click Host Aliases.
- If the PROXY_SIP_ADDRESS_LB non-secured port appears in
the table, skip to the next step; otherwise, add the port now as follows:
- In the "Host Aliases" table, click the New button at the beginning of the table.
- In the Host Name field, type *.
- In the Port field, type the port that you assigned to PROXY_SIP_ADDRESS_LB (typically 5060).
- Click OK.
- If the PROXY_SIPS_ADDRESS_LB secure port appears in the
table, skip to the next step; otherwise, add the port now as follows:
- In the "Host Aliases" table, click the New button at the beginning of the table.
- In the Host Name field, type *.
- In the Port field, type the port that you assigned to PROXY_SIPS_ADDRESS_LB (typically 5061).
- Click OK.
- Save the change to the master configuration by clicking the Save link in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
