There are two IBM® Connections community widgets forSametime®, the Meeting Rooms Widget and the Chat Rooms Widget.

Install and configure the Chat Rooms widget. The Chat Rooms widget provides IBM® Sametime® Advanced persistent chat room features within IBM Connections.
Installing the Membership Synchronizer in WebSphere® for use with Chat Rooms widget
To allow Community members to access the Community's chat rooms, a separate module must synchronize the membership. Install this module, ChatRoomsMembershipSynchroniser.jar, on the WebSphere® Integrated Solutions Console.
Supplying credentials for the membership synchronizer
The membership synchronizer makes HTTP and HTTPS requests to the IBM® Sametime® Advanced Server on behalf of a user, therefore, it must use credentials. Use the Java™ Authentication and Authorization Service to create administrative credentials for the membership synchronizer.

After the administrative credentials are configured, supply the membership synchronizer with property values unique to your setup of IBM® Connections and IBM Sametime® Advanced Server. Use WebSphere® variables to include the properties in the membership synchronizer.

Procedure

On the server hosting the IBM Connections Server, log in to the Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
Click Environment > WebSphere variables.
Select the appropriate scope. View the page's help for more information on scope.
Click New.

Set the Name and corresponding Values based on the information in this table:

Save the changes, resynchronize the appropriate node, and restart the application server.
