Troubleshooting a Sametime Media Manager Video Manager installation
Troubleshoot installation problems for the IBM® Sametime® Media Manager Video Manager.

The following examples show you ways to address issues you may encounter after installing the Media Manager Video Manager.
- Problem: The Video Manager installation failed to update the default Conference template.
- Solution: Change the values for the Default audio video template
to update the Media Manager Default Policy.
- From the Sametime System Console, click .
- Select the Default Policy and click Edit.
- Modify the Default audio video template section
with the following values:
- Conference template name: Default Audio Video Template
- Cascaded Conference: None
- Conference mode: Mixed AVC and SVC
- Conference mode experience: Optimized for mobile devices
- Conference Line Rate: 384
- Encryption: Encrypt when possible
- Video quality: Sharpness
- Problem: The Video Manager installation failed to create the SIP peer.
- Solution: Create the SIP peer by completing the steps in Defining an external SIP peer for routing calls from the Video Manager.
- Problem: Video Manager server needs to be reinstalled, but IBM Installation Manager fails with a message that the server is still running.
- Solution: Complete the steps in the Tech Note Video Manager fails to uninstall.
