Run the installation program to update IBM®
Sametime® 9.0.1 Community Server to Feature Pack

Procedure
Complete the following steps on every Sametime Community Server in your deployment:

On the computer where you will upgrade the Sametime
Community Server, log on as root (Linux™) or the system
administrator (Windows™).

Stop both the Sametime Community Server and the Domino® server by running the following commands:
- AIX® or Linux
- Return to the terminal session where Domino was
started.
- If the prompt character > is not present, press the Enter key once to be presented with the
prompt character.
- Type exit and press Enter.
- Windows
- Click .
- In the Services dialog box, click Services
(Local).
- Right-click Sametime server and then click
Stop.

Back up the following files according to platform:
AIX or Linux
- /local/notesdata/vpuserinfo.nsf
- /local/notesdata/names.nsf
- /local/notesdata/stconfig.nsf
- /local/notesdata/STRunTimeDebugTool.jar
- /local/notesdata/sametime.ini
- /local/notesdata/UserInfoConfig.xml
Windows
- vpuserinfo.nsf - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino\data
- names.nsf - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino\data
- Stconfig.nsf - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino\data
- STRunTimeDebugTool.jar - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino
- sametime.ini - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino
- UserInfoConfig.xml - C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino
Note: The Community Server is installed in the following location: C:\Program Files
(x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino

Download the FP1 update for this server from IBM Fix
Central.

Extract the package.

Navigate to the directory where you extracted the package and start the installation program by
running the following command:

Select a language and click OK.

Click Next.

When the message appears stating that a Community Server is already installed, click
Upgrade an Existing Instance.

Select the Sametime Community Server deployment plan
that you will use now, and then click Next.

Review the summary, then click Install to start the installation.

When installation is complete, click Finish.

Replace the following files with the backed up versions of those files from step 3:
- vpuserinfo.nsf
- names.nsf
- STRunTimeDebugTool.jar
- Stconfig.nsf
- sametime.ini
Results
The Domino_data_directory\stsetup_exit_status.txt file
contains a zero (0) if the installation is successful. If the installation was not successful, look
at the installation logs for more information. Fix the problem, then try installing again. The
installation logs are stored in the following locations.
- Linux
- The default Domino data directory is
/local/notesdata/.
- Domino data directory
- SametimeInstall.log
- stsetup.log
- stsetup_exit_status.txt
- SametimeIniParser.log
- This log can be in /tmp or in the Domino data directory.
- Console connection log
- /tmp/SSCLogs/ConsoleUtility0.log
- Windows
- The default Domino data directory is
c:\program files\ibm\lotus\domino\data\ and the Domino program directory is c:\program
files\ibm\lotus\domino.
- Domino data directory
- SametimeInstall.log
- stsetup.log
- stsetup_exit_status.txt
- Domino program directory
- stsetup_exit_code_windows.txt
- SametimeIniParser.log
- This log can be in %TEMP% or in the Domino data directory.
- Console connection log
- Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Temp\SSCLogs\ConsoleUtility0.log
