Designating the Sametime Proxy Server to be used for awareness
When users join an online meeting, IBM® Sametime® displays each user's name and status in the meeting room. To enable this feature, designate the Sametime Proxy Server that is used for awareness so the Sametime Meeting Server can access that information.
Before you begin
The Sametime Proxy Server must be installed and configured. Single Sign-On must be configured between the Sametime Meeting Server, Sametime Proxy Server, and the Sametime Community Server. Procedure
- First, determine the ports used by the Sametime Proxy Server that
will provide awareness in meetings:
- Back in the navigation tree, click .
- In the Meeting Servers list, click the Meeting Server that you want to update.
- Click the Server Configuration tab.
- Click Edit.
- Add the host name and the secure host name of the Sametime Proxy Server to
the Meeting Server's configuration:
