Verifying host names and ports for Bandwidth Manager servers
After adding ports to the virtual host names, verify that the host names resolve in DNS.
Procedure
- Log in to the deployment manager's Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere® administrator.
- Click
- In the table listing the servers, click the name of the proxy servers you are configuring.
- Click Ports.
- Review the host names for each of the ports and ensure they resolve in the DNS.
- If a host name does not resolve, click the port name that corresponds to it. For example, click BOOTSTRAP_ADDRESS if it's corresponding host name is in the list of host names that do not resolve.
- In the Host field, specify a host name that does resolve properly. Click OK.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any host names that do not resolve in DNS.
- Click Apply and then save the change to the master configuration by clicking the Save link in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
- In the navigation tree, click .
- Click the server name whose ports you are verifying.
- Click Ports.
- Review the host names for each of the ports and ensure they resolve in the DNS.
- If a host name does not resolve, click the port name that corresponds to it. For example, click BOOTSTRAP_ADDRESS if its corresponding host name is in the list of host names that do not resolve.
- In the Host field, specify a host name that does resolve properly. Click OK.
- Repeat steps 14 and 15 for any host names that do not resolve.
- Confirm all host names are correct.
- Click .
- Click Ports.
- Review the host names for each of the ports and ensure they resolve in the DNS.
- Repeat steps 14 and 15 for any host names that do not resolve.
- Confirm all host names are correct.
- Click Apply and then save the change to the master configuration by clicking the Save link in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
- Synchronize the nodes in the cluster:

- Select both nodes, and then click Full Resynchronization.
