After creating a cluster, add the SIP ports of each cluster
member to the virtual host alias.
About this task
On the cluster's deployment manager, update the default_host
virtual host with a unique set of Web access ports. Such a configuration
lets a single host computer resemble multiple host computers.
Note: In
these procedures we use suggested port numbers. You can assign other
port numbers to these default host settings if you choose.
Procedure
- Log in to the deployment manager's Integrated Solutions
Console as the WebSphere® administrator.
- In the navigation tree, click .
- In the table listing the servers, click the name of the
cluster member you are configuring.
- On the Configuration page, in the Communication section,
click Ports
- In the SIP_DEFAULTHOST field, verify
whether the port is set to 5062. If the port is not set to 5062, click SIP_DEFAULTHOST and
specify 5062 as the port number. Click OK.
- Click Apply and then save the change
to the master configuration by clicking the Save link
in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
- In the SIP_DEFAULTHOST_SECURE filed,
verify that the port is set to 5063. If the port is not set to 5063,
click SIP_DEFAULTHOST_SECURE and specify 5063 as
the port number. Click OK.
- Click Apply and then save the change
to the master configuration by clicking the Save link
in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
- Navigate back to .
- In the table listing the servers, click the name of the
second cluster member you are configuring.
- Repeat steps 4 - 8.
- In the navigation tree, click .
- In the table listing the servers, click the name of the
first Bandwidth Manager WebSphere proxy server you are configuring.
- Repeat steps 4 - 8, using these settings and port numbers.
- PROXY_SIP_ADDRESS - Port 5060
- PROXY_SIPS_ADDRESS - Port 5061
- Synchronize the nodes in the cluster:
- Click .
- Select both nodes, and then click Full Resynchronization.
- Click .
- Click default_host.
- Click Host_Aliases.
- Review the list of host names and select any that do not
contain an asterisk in the Host Name field.
- Click Delete to remove those host
names.
- Confirm that each of these port numbers is listed in the
table of host names and ports. Each port number should be assigned
to one Host Name that is designated with an asterisk.
If any port number is missing, complete these steps to associate
the port number with a Host Name of asterisk (*):
- Click New.
- In the Host Name field, type *
- In the Port field, specify the port
number that is missing from the list. Click OK.
- Click Apply and then save the change
to the master configuration by clicking the Save link
in the "Messages" box at the beginning of the page.
- Synchronize the nodes in the cluster:
- Click .
- Select both nodes, and then click Full Resynchronization.

Complete the procedure to verify that the host names and
port numbers are correct for each of the installed servers.
