Setting up the outbound proxy on the IBM® Sametime® Video
Manager redirects all SIP INVITE messages to the Sametime Video MCU through
the SIP Proxy/Registrar.
About this task
To define the Video Manager as an outbound proxy server,
you must create a JVM custom property. In a clustered Video Manager
environment, create this property on every node in the cluster.
Procedure
- On the Sametime Video
Manager, log in to the WebSphere® Integrated
Solutions Console as the administrator.
- In the navigation tree, click .
- In the table of application servers, click the name of
the Video Manager server you want to modify.
- On the Configuration tab, in the Server
Infrastructure section, click .
- In the "Additional properties" section, click Java
Virtual Machine.
- A new Configuration tab displays.
In the "Additional properties" section, click Custom properties.
- Click New and enter the following
information:
- Name: proximo.vmrb2b.outboundproxy
- Value: Enter the fully qualified
host name of the load balancer that sits in front of the
SIP Proxy/Registrar cluster, enter a colon, the port number/tcpload_balancer_host:port_number/transport_protocol
For
example, sippr.example.com:5060/tcp
Note: Enter
the transport protocol value in lower case characters; for example: tcp,
tls. The transport protocol value is case sensitive.
- Description: Outbound Proxy
Setting for BWM
- Click OK.
- Click the Save link in the "Messages"
box at the beginning of the page.
- Repeat this procedure for each Video Manager node.
- Synchronize the nodes in the cluster:
- Click .
- Select both nodes, and then click Full Resynchronization.
- Restart all Media Manager nodes, including the Sametime Bandwidth Managers.
